Cosmetic FX offers cosmetic tattooing courses at our Gold Coast clinic. Cosmetic FX’s courses will teach you the tips and tricks of the trade. You will leave our course with confidence and a precise knowledge of how to provide an amazing service and find work in this growing industry.
Since opening Cosmetic FX in 2015 Narelle has been booked out for weeks in advance and is now offering to share all of her knowledge with you. Our courses are designed to not only give you a certificate of completion, but give you the knowledge and confidence you require to START YOUR OWN BUSINESS. SEE COURSE OUTLINES BELOW.
Prerequisites - PLEASE READ
Maintain Infection Prevention for Skin Penetration Treatments; CODE: HLTINF005.
You need to complete this course prior to tattooing. This is a requirement from QLD local council for skin penetration procedures. If you are travelling from interstate please check your local council requirements. We recommend the following online course (contact us for a discount code):
Shadow Training - Be Narelle's shadow for a day!

Group Shadow training (max 2 students) involves watching 2 live demonstrations by Narelle (see above dates for techniques). You will be able to see exactly what materials/products she uses, her set up, photography, mapping, needles, with an unlimited amount of Q&A's throughout.

Beginner Fundamental Course Details
COURSE OUTLINE: 1 ON 1 TRAINING | TOTAL $15,000 AUD
MONDAY - FRIDAY | 8:30AM - 3PM
This course duration is for 5 days.
YOU WILL LEARN THE FOLLOWING 3 TECHNIQUES USING A TATTOO MACHINE:
3 Models | Hair stroke Brows
2 Models | Ombre Brows
1 Model | Combination Brows

This course is the ultimate business starter package. Whether you're a beginner or someone with beauty industry experience this course will introduce you to the world of permanent make up.
Throughout this course students will receive up to 6 models for practical training under Narelle's supervision.
Monday will include theory/practical activities (mapping, photography, practice mats, pigments, etc) to gain confidence prior to working on models. You will also observe a live hair stroke brow model demonstrated by Narelle in the afternoon.
Tuesday & Wednesday will consist of practicing hair stroke patterns on latex first thing in the morning, followed by 2 live hair stroke models to practice on over these two days. You will then start to practice our ombre technique on Wednesday afternoon.
Thursday morning will include a live ombre demonstration by Narelle. That afternoon you will practice more on latex followed by your first live ombre model.
Friday you will have a further 2 models to work on. First up will be your second live ombre brow model, then in the afternoon you will be able to merge both hair stroke and shading techniques together to create a combination brow on you final model.
This course will give you all the skills/knowledge I've applied to my work for years; helping you walk away confident.
